NABB operates on five levels simultaneously to impact the collective goal of the MLB and its Players Alliance to change the negative participation trajectory and increase the percentage of African Americans playing in the Major Leagues. The five levels – Little League, High School, College, Professional, and Professional International – are collectively called The Network.
The Network will establish the Professional International level most crucial initiative with the formation of the African American Team which will participate in the Major League Baseball sponsored World Baseball Classic Tournament and World Series. The MLB World Baseball Classic is about comradery, heritage and competition on the Global Stage. This is what is lacking among African American players compared to our other demographic competitors. (Whites, Hispanics, and Asian).
The Network will create and operate the New Negro Leagues, which will consist of the Summer- Draft League and the Winter Caribbean league.
The Negro Summer League; a collegiate league which will include the Top 100 African American College baseball players from the Top 50 Historical Black Colleges and Universities. NABB’s Scouting Bureau will certify and train these 100 elite baseball players from the Negro Leagues to participate in the National Baseball Congress World Series, the countries most renowned collegiate tournament.
